EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Faculty at Haskell warned Friday that proposed federal budget cuts, which would cut tribal college funding by about 90%, will leave the schools unable to operate as required — a move that may breach legal treaty obligations. Douglas County commissioners are drafting a letter to Congress urging them to protect the funding for tribal colleges. The Lawrence Times
