LYL Hatha Yoga 84 Series

About this event

Deepen your practice and test your limits in our Hatha Yoga 84 class, a powerful 2 hour session designed for yogis who wish to explore intermediate to advanced physical yoga practice. Held in a comfortably warm room, this practice introduces 84 postures from Hatha Yoga and the Ghosh lineage and exercises to build into more complex and challenging physical postures (asanas) and yoga practices with a clear intention, purpose and instruction. Key Benefits of Hatha Practice (Drawing from Ghosh Yoga Lineage): Advanced Hatha practice can: Gain a level of mastery over the physical body through asana, opening space and curiosity for other practices - such as pranayama and meditation- to emerge. Improve range of motion, flexibility, and strength. Illuminate the purpose and function of beginning yoga practices. Class Details: This class will introduce exercises and lead up postures necessary to explore deeper postures. This class will focus on deep backbends, arm balances, full forward bends and twists. All postures are optional and alternatives will be offered. It is encouraged to attend the 1 hour, 26 and 2 class prior to this class to warm and prepare the body. What to Bring: Please be well-hydrated before class and bring a mat, towel, and water. This class is best suited for experienced practitioners seeking to advance their technique and tackle more challenging and demanding practices. However, alternative exercises and modifications are available to every exercise, so all levels are welcome to try it out!
