  • Sheryl Sanders retired last week from Lawrence Community Shelter after 11 years as a case manager + volunteer, helping folks stay housed and secure a better future.   • Irene Ratzlaff Soderstrom urged city commissioners to extend free rec center access from 17 to 26 (linking it to youth health insurance eligibility) and noted the change is needed as high school seniors soon lose access amid rising insurance costs.  The Lawrence Times
