- ➤ Lawrence's third annual Winter Inclusive Market is held this weekend at the Lied Center at 1600 Stewart Drive, running Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.; at 2 p.m. Sunday the Phoenix Awards ceremony will honor six local artists with 100 vendors present. - ➤ KU Distinguished Professor Yong Zhao released his new book Fix the Past or Invent the Future: Moving Beyond One-Size-Fits-All Education on Wednesday, Dec. 10. - ➤ Steven Soper, a KU Foundation Distinguished Professor in Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering, was named one of 185 innovators in the 2025 National Academy of Inventors Fellows on Dec. 11.
