- ➤ The City of Lawrence invites residents, business owners, and visitors to help shape North Lawrence at a Community Visioning Workshop on November 17 from 4—6 p.m. and will offer details at an information table at the Woodlawn Holiday Art Market on November 15 from 11 a.m.—4 p.m. City of Lawrence
- ➤ Hundreds gathered on the KU campus Wednesday night to honor Elsa McGrain, a student who was killed last week after being hit by a car while running. Friends, sorority sisters and faculty recalled her kindness and strong faith — and they left with a shared call to live like Elsa. KMBC

- ➤ State officials announced holiday gift boxes filled with Kansas products are available for purchase—sold under the 'From the Land of Kansas' program, the boxes come in two varieties costing just under $40 each and orders over 10 must be confirmed by phone for delivery by Dec. 4. - ➤ University of Kansas opened a new convention center on Nov. 12 as phase one of the Gateway District project—part of an $800M redevelopment that will expand the football stadium and campus access.
