Kansas farmers were encouraged late last month when China agreed to purchase 25 million metric tons of soybeans, with the deal covering 12 million this year and 25 million annually until 2028 (according to the Kansas Soybean Association).
Farmers are now planning planting decisions for next spring amid hopes for a return to stable trade relations.
KU signed its first comprehensive international partnership with the University of Regensburg yesterday — a deal that expands the longstanding cooperation in chemistry and American studies into business, law, engineering, immunology, and cancer research.
