A site plan for a new Costco has been submitted and is under review in Lawrence—if approved, the warehouse club will be located northwest of George Williams Way and Mercato Drive near Rock Chalk Park.

Costco submitted a proposal to open a full-service store with gas pumps, a Tire Center and food court south of Rock Chalk Park; the 22.6-acre project covers 983,328 square feet and 834 parking stalls.
