- ➤ On Oct 10, Dillons announced it will return to the Kansas City metro by opening a new Marketplace in Olathe near College Blvd—S. Lone Elm Rd as part of a $40 million project with local partners. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine presented a report to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on October 9 that examines ways to measure the combined effects of environmental actions on vulnerable communities. - ➤ Researchers at the University of Kansas found that people with ALS were better understood when they spoke more slowly instead of trying to speak clearly.
