  • ➤ Save Our Soil Kaw Valley Foundation will host the first annual Kaw Valley Field Day on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Shirk’s Barn at 1359 North 1900 Road—about 2 miles northwest of Lawrence Regional Airport. The free event will include hayrack rides, a pumpkin patch, food trucks, beer and wine, Flint corn craft-ivities for kids, a farm machine display, and live performances by regional Americana artists.  The Lawrence Times
