- ➤ Artist Emily Mulvaney opens her solo exhibition Preservation of Bodies at Off-Site Art Space to show how bioplastics and historical science capture the changing nature of preserved specimens. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lawrence-Douglas County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization released the 2026 Unified Planning Work Program to explain how federal transportation funds will be used. The comment period began October 1 and will run until November 1 — the plan will be reviewed by the MPO Policy Board on November 20. City of Lawrence
- ➤ The Affordable Housing Advisory Board is set to meet at 5:30 p.m. on October 9 at Lawrence City Hall and via Zoom—participants must register to join. Residents may submit public comments during the hybrid session—agenda and background materials are available for review. City of Lawrence
- ➤ The Lawrence-Douglas County MPO will hold a TAC meeting on Tuesday, October 7 at 2:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A of the Lawrence Public Library.
