Four candidates—Mike Courtney, Bart Littlejohn, Kristine Polian, and Bob Schumm—will run for two Lawrence City Commission seats in the November 4 general election.
Each candidate presents unique experience with plans to address housing affordability and budget challenges, and voters must register by October 14.
Max Kautsch, a media law attorney from Lawrence, said that ABC’s decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel Live raised questions about free speech and the wide discretion private employers hold.
He explained that any lawsuit will need to show government coercion—state leaders have also offered their views on the matter.
