- ➤ Norman Akers, a KU professor and Osage Nation member, is showing his new exhibition at Temple University in Philadelphia—he paints layered images that ask questions about indigeneity, history and our world. - ➤ Four candidates for Lawrence City Commission will attend two forums at Peaslee Tech—one on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. and another on Monday, Sept. 22, where former mayors will ask unsent questions to help the public get to know them before the Nov. 4 election. The Lawrence Times
