EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Kansas will host its 113th Homecoming from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2 and the KU football game against Oklahoma State will take place on Nov. 1 at the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. KU Alumni invites campus and community partners to submit event proposals by Sept. 5 and will open award applications from Sept. 1 until Sept. 26. University of Kansas
- ➤ The Lawrence school board requested more details on esports costs and equipment on Monday — the proposal moved from the consent agenda to a full business item while officials plan to gather additional financial and logistical information before the next vote. The district will review potential expenses for headsets, game licenses, and travel as it gauges interest among middle and high schools. The Lawrence Times
