- ➤ Rescue groups are helping lost highway pigs that escape crowded transport trucks by providing specialized care and new homes—Lawrence Humane Society rescued a piglet in June and works with Kansas City Pig Rescue Network to treat injuries, while officials urge anyone finding a jumper to contact a rescue organization immediately. Many of these piglets, which often get injured during their escape, are seen during the current jumper season. KSNT 27

- ➤ A study published yesterday found that companies with IT-capable employees produced financial reports with fewer technical errors and faster data processing—Professor Adi Masli explained that strong IT skills help manage raw data better. - ➤ On July 15, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach said the state will get $5.7 million from a $720 million opioid settlement with eight drug companies. The funds will be used to prevent and treat drug addiction—helping Kansas fight the crisis. KSNT 27

- ➤ KU Life Span Institute researcher Carissa Cascio and her international team reviewed past studies on early sensory processing in autism and presented their cascading effects model in Psychological Review on July 15.
