- ➤ Audio-Reader Network, the KU service for blind, visually impaired and print-disabled people, won three IAAIS awards at a conference in Lawrence on June 13th for its voter guide, magazine program and radio drama. The awards (Consumer Information/Public Service, Magazines and Dramas) honor its strong work in making audio information accessible. University of Kansas
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Lawrence is installing a new cardboard-only dumpster at Douglas County Fairgrounds off Harper St.—it provides free access to recycling and will help reduce the overflow seen at Checkers, Hy-Vee, and Dillons. Residents are reminded to place only cardboard in the container to prevent contamination. City of Lawrence
