- ➤ Boba & Beyond has opened its second location at Lawrence Transit’s Central Station near KU as the sole vendor. Owner Amrutha Ravikumar said the cafe offers boba tea+ coffee drinks+ snacks and will hold a grand opening on July 17 with expanded hours and menu choices. The Lawrence Times

- ➤ Professor Sherry Fowler from the University of Kansas wrote a book that explores Japanese Buddhist bells and dragons to show how temple bells were used in daily rituals & how they became part of folklore. The book uses rare photos and stories to explain these legends & the unique sounds of the bells. University of Kansas
- ➤ Local librarians held a panel discussion at today's Free State Festival screening to address challenges to intellectual freedom following book bans in other parts of the country. Moderated by former Rep. Christina Haswood, the panel urged residents to support local libraries by attending school board and library board meetings—an effort aimed at keeping educational resources strong in our community.
