EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ten Kansas secondary school science teachers will meet at the University of Kansas Field Station just north of Lawrence for the Ecosystems of Kansas Summer Institute from June 24 to June 26. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Researchers from the Robert Dole Institute in Lawrence and the Edward Kennedy Institute reported that only 37% of Kansas counties had enough revenue to cover rising election costs in 2024—Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab has already forwarded $1.9 million in federal grants to 84 counties. The report calls for more stable funding from local, state or federal sources to support modern voting technology and sufficient staffing. The Lawrence Times
