- ➤ A man aged 64 was seriously injured in an apparent early morning stabbing near 11th Street and Haskell Avenue in Lawrence at a residence on the 1200 block of East 1900 Road—Douglas County deputies responded and identified a person of interest while EMS transported him to a hospital. KMBC

- ➤ The Watkins Museum will soon be the first Kansas site to host the Smithsonian traveling exhibit “Americans” after it was moved from the Haskell museum due to federal cuts—organizers shifted the location to better serve visitors.
