- ➤ Lawrence police took a man into custody Tuesday after he threatened someone in a downtown parking garage with a paintball gun resembling an AR-style assault rifle—he was booked on charges of aggravated assault and no one was injured. KCTV

- ➤ Lawrence playwright and director Rita Rials will present her stage play 'Panther Burn: From the Fields of Struggle to the Road of Hope' on Saturday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lied Center — it is based on her family's journey from Mississippi to Kansas amid racial injustice during Juneteenth and tickets are free. - ➤ The University of Kansas Wind Ensemble will represent the United States at the World Exposition in Osaka, Japan from June 25 to July 5.
