The local NAACP held a dedication ceremony yesterday at Oak Hill Cemetery to mark 30 unmarked graves, including those of lynching victims from 1882, and visitors placed carnations as a sign of remembrance.

KU Libraries welcomed its first international librarian-in-residence as part of a global engagement initiative; Patience Ocloo (a senior lecturer from the University of Ghana) began her research in March and will share her findings in August across campus.
KU Law students provided over 2,300 volunteer legal service hours during the 2025-2026 academic year, and 48 students earned spots on the Pro Bono Honor Roll while helping low-income Kansans.
Their recognition reflects the school’s commitment to community service and practical training.
