- ➤ Michele Uttley, a 69-year-old from Missouri, was seriously injured when her 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan lost control and hit a barrier wall on eastbound I-70 in Douglas County on May 21 and was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. KCTV

- ➤ Sarah Milgrim, a Shawnee Mission East graduate and former KU student leader known for her peace work, was killed in a terror shooting in Washington, D.C., along with her boyfriend Yaron Lischinsky who planned to propose—friends say she was a kind and gifted leader whose loss is deeply felt.
