Isaiah Neal—a Lawrence teen shot outside his family’s townhome on June 13, 2024—would have turned 18 on May 14 and his loved ones gathered at Holcom Park to celebrate his life while authorities prepare for a trial of 19-year-old Cir Allen Keith Glover, who is charged with first-degree murder and has a pretrial hearing set for Tuesday ahead of a trial scheduled for July 7—11.

A 19-year-old from Eudora — charged with aggravated robbery and interference with law enforcement officials for a December 5 armed robbery — remains behind bars in Kansas City while she awaits extradition.

Lawrence Virtual School held its graduation ceremony Saturday where speakers encouraged the Class of 2025 to be the best they can be and embrace change after years of virtual learning.
