- ➤ Yesterday, nearly 70 middle and high school student-athletes with disabilities competed in the Pat Grzenda Adaptive Triathlon at Lawrence High School, receiving encouragement from peers, family, and educators. - ➤ The City of Lawrence will start using parking boots on vehicles with three or more unpaid parking tickets that are 60 days overdue on May 19 as it shifts to a civil parking enforcement process—tickets issued before January 1 will still follow the old legal route. City of Lawrence
- ➤ The Connected City Advisory Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at Central Transit Station — where community members can attend in person or register via Zoom to provide public comment. The board advises the Governing Body on improving city infrastructure and maintaining efficient services as part of Lawrence’s Connected City Strategic Plan. City of Lawrence
- ➤ A Kansas judge sent the Attorney General’s lawsuit against Pfizer to state court+ the suit, which alleges that Pfizer misled Kansans about vaccine safety, will proceed under the Kansas Consumer Protection Act. Pfizer said it will defend the claims and remains confident in its vaccine data. KCTV
