EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Kansas nominated Levi O'Connor from Louisburg for the Beinecke Scholarship, which awards $30,000 for graduate study and $5,000 in his senior year. The nomination, handled by the Center for Undergraduate Research, will see award recipients announced in June. University of Kansas
- ➤ KU junior Wyatt Vaughn was named a 2026 Udall Scholar for his leadership in public service and research. He studies chemical engineering plus creative writing, and his award honors commitment to Native healthcare and environmental stewardship with access to the Udall Alumni Network and a four-day scholar orientation in Tucson. - ➤ KU Libraries has selected three faculty and staff to join Sprints Week from May 18–22 at Watson Library (room 340), where they will work with librarians on course design and research projects and later showcase their work on May 22.
