OpenStudios Lawrence is set to transform vacant downtown storefronts into creative spaces as local artists take over one location, Andante Home, which will open Friday, May 1 at 745 New Hampshire St.; the program supports artists + offers landlords a low-risk option to fill empty buildings.

Tokeya Waci U Richardson invites community members to help paint a mural on the Lawrence Public Library parking garage wall at 725 Vermont St (Native American culture) from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, weather permitting.
