- ➤ Nicole Hodges Persley directs the world premiere of Brysen Boyd’s tragicomic play Family Sideshow at Kansas City Melting Pot Theatre from May 1-10 and mentors young actors through her director’s program+ the play, delayed by the pandemic, gives local artists a chance to begin a professional theatre career while building on Boyd’s success from the 2020 Black Playwright Festival.
