At the 36th annual KU Powwow and Indigenous Cultures Festival, Corrin Lamere, 23, walked around the powwow circle where she suffered a severe stroke last year—her family thanked community members for their support.

Lawrence police investigated a shooting after a fight escalated into gunfire just before 1 a.m. on April 12th near 10th and Massachusetts St as witnesses reported a man and a woman fought and a suspect vehicle fled the scene.
