- ➤ Judge Sally Pokorny retired Friday at the historic Douglas County Courthouse after nearly 50 years in law and was honored for creating the Behavioral Health Court that aids those with mental illness. - ➤ City contractors are repairing Wakarusa Drive starting April 1, reducing lanes until early May. The work also includes closing the 21st+Stewart Ave intersection from April 14 and extending 9th, East Glenn, and eastbound 19th Street closures into mid-May, pending weather delays. City of Lawrence
