  • eXplore Lawrence and local groups will host a resource fair tomorrow from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Carnegie Building (200 W. Ninth St) to answer community questions about the World Cup.  The Lawrence Times

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University of Kansas has 55 graduate programs in the top 50 among public universities, with eight in the top 10 in U.S. News & World Report rankings released yesterday. Special education and paleontology tied at No. 1 + government management, education, therapy, leadership, environmental law, and speech language pathology also ranked strongly.  University of Kansas
  • The KU Debate team, with Kate’Lynn Shaw and Nargis Suleman, won the Cross Examination Debate Association National Championship Tournament in Binghamton from April 2-6, beating the University of Iowa team on a 5-4 decision. This historic win marked the first CEDA championship for KU Debate.  University of Kansas
  • KU Department of Theatre & Dance students and faculty won four awards and earned 22 commendations at the ACTF Region V Festival (Rochester, Minnesota) earlier this spring. The honors underscored the program’s excellence in 2025 University Theatre productions.  University of Kansas
