Research from the University of Kansas published Monday, Apr.
6 showed that the JOBS Act pushed startups toward dual-track exits (favoring acquisitions over IPOs) instead of the intended public offerings, and the Senate will soon review plans to expand those reforms with the INVEST Act.
🎓 Education
Fifty-seven KU students received a $1,000 Undergraduate Research Award from the Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships this spring, supporting their mentored research projects.
The center is now reviewing applications for summer and fall and will reopen the 2027 spring portal in the fall.
KU associate professor Ashley Muddiman proposed KU-based strategies in recent publications to reduce polarization in classroom debates and community discourse; her research details long-term methods that mix policy positions while focusing on shared values.
