- ➤ Ken Lassman of the Kaw Valley Almanac explains that with the state's dry weather, winter puffball mushrooms are fully mature and look like biscuits, and when stepped on they show a puff of spores (a sign of the season's cycle). HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ LMH Health and Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health will hold a monthly WIC clinic in Baldwin City on the third Tuesday of each month to offer nutrition support and vaccination access to qualifying families. Clients will be seen at LMH Health Primary Care clinic (406 Ames St.) from (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Kansas residents can participate regardless of county. The Lawrence Times
