EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ KU has received a $2.2 million NIH grant renewal to support its MARC program that offers undergraduates hands-on biomedical research experience. The funding will extend the program for five more years by providing student mentoring, research opportunities and professional development workshops. University of Kansas

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A Kansas law limiting restroom use based on sex went into effect on Feb. 18 and now affects local agencies including KU and City Hall. A hearing is scheduled today to determine if the law’s enforcement will be delayed amid unclear guidelines and rising community concerns. The Lawrence Times
