- ➤ The Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission selected Tokeya Waci U Richardson’s mural proposal for the Vermont Street parking garage wall next to the public library, highlighting themes of inclusivity, community, healing and warmth. The commission will send its recommendation to the City Commission for final approval. The Lawrence Times
- ➤ Local author Bogi Takács Perelmutter released a new science fiction novel Song of Spores (through Broken Eye Books) yesterday. The book blends interstellar detective work with humorous social commentary and is already featured on the Locus Recommended list and Scientific American's top 10 of 2025. University of Kansas
- ➤ The University of Kansas School of Music will present the second annual Latin American Art Music Festival at Swarthout Recital Hall from March 1–3, with the opening event featuring the Jopara Ensemble and free admission for the community. University of Kansas
- ➤ The Audio-Reader Network will host its Audio Sale at the Lawrence Public Library auditorium on Feb. 13 and 14.
