Watkins Museum will host an exhibition in its Community Gallery from Jan.
16 to March 14 that celebrates fifty years of KU’s Hall Center for the Humanities — featuring historical documents. A free reception with hors d’oeuvres and drinks is set 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21.

The KU Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering Department inducted two alumni into the CEAE Academy today.

Superintendent Jeanice Swift will host Community Conversations to gather feedback from students, staff and families at local school buildings from Jan.

🏛️ Government
Plans to open a family emergency shelter were canceled Tuesday evening when city staff said insufficient funding forced the decision at a city commission meeting.
The city will prioritize families with children through its existing homelessness response program (instead of launching a new shelter).
