- ➤ The Lawrence Farmers Market will request at the Monday, Jan. 12 meeting at City Hall for a study into whether South Park or Watson Park can host its permanent market. - ➤ New punk, anarchist bookstore Bread & Roses now operates from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at ECM — 1204 Oread Ave — on KU’s campus, offering unique titles alongside community events that welcome both KU students and local residents. The Lawrence Times
- ➤ The 12th annual Lawrence Restaurant Week runs from Thursday, Jan. 15 to Sunday, Jan. 25 with 40 local eateries unveiling special vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menus.
